Aylmer Irish Appointed General Manager

Aylmer Irish has been selected by the Board of Directors to lead the Roseau Cooperative Credit Union Ltd (RCCU) as General Manager. His appointment took effect on April 1, 2009.

Mr. Irish brings over 13 years of experience at RCCU to the position. He joined the Society in 1996 as Deputy General Manager and has acted in the position of General Manager on many occasions. Previously, he served as a member of the Credit Committee.

A graduate of the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) programme of the University of the West Indies in 2000, Mr. Irish obtained a bachelors degree in Accounting with Honors from the University of the Virgin Islands in 1990. He is the recipient of many certificates and diplomas including an Advanced Management Diploma from UWI Mona Campus and a certificate in Projects Implementation and Management from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB).

Mr. Irish brings varied experiences to the position of General Manager. Included among these are 16.5 years as a part-time lecturer at the University of the West Indies (UWI) School of Continuing Studies and part-time lecturer in Accounting/Finance for the Centre for Management Development, UWI Cave Hill Campus Distant Learning Diploma programme.

Mr. Irish is currently the Vice President of the Dominica Association of Bankers and Financial Institutions.
